  1. Im sure many of you have heard about the "law of attraction", what you think, feel and imagine consciously and subconciously you attract to you.

    We dont always attract and manifest into our lives the things we want, this is because of our mind chatter the constant thoughts that go around and around in our minds sometimes taking over. "I'm not good enough", "I dont deserve happiness", "I'm so fat", "Nobody likes me", you get the idea.

    While thinking these things about ourselves probably unconciously,  we are manifesting more of this into our lives through the law of attraction, they may not be what you want but your focus is on them so the universe will provide you with more of that. So according to the many experts on the law of attraction, by having a gratitude practice you will shift you focus onto the positive, instead of the negative in your life.

    I started this a few years back after reading Rhonda Byrne books "The Power", "The Magic" which is my favourite of hers as it gives you different ideas each day to supercharge the gratitude practice, and the original book "The Secret".

    It is recommended that you start each day with 10 things that you are grateful in your life, no matter what is going on I can promise you, you can always find something to be grateful for. If you genuinely are struggling for 10 start with 5 and over the course of weeks increase the gratitude. 

    Examples of gratitude:

    I am so very grateful for the love of my family (friends, pets, husband, girlfriend etc)

    I am truly blessed and thankful for my body (my eyes, ears, heart, lungs, etc)

    I am so thankful I have a beautiful home (roof over my head, house, etc)

    I am thankful I have money to pay my bills (put food on the table, to clothe myself etc)

    I am thankful for the heating, water, electricity.

    I am grateful for the warm clothes I have etc.

    I am grateful for the beautiful sunset this morning, (stars in the night sky, the sea etc)

    I am grateful for my eyes to see all the amazingly beautiful things around me, the flowers, the trees, the sunset, the smile of a loved one etc

    I am thankful for my ears so that I can hear the laughter of my child, my loved ones voice, the sound of the birds, the wind in the trees etc

    As you can see once you get started you can find so many things to be happy and grateful for in life.

    Try starting your own gratitude diary and just watch how you start to feel, it can change your life as your perception changes so does your reality.
